| This week, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a major report on the climate crisis. |
| The IPCC’s report confirms what we already know: the climate crisis is here and is an existential threat. We need to urgently and dramatically cut pollution if we hope to preserve a livable planet. |
| Our leaders must meet the moment and fulfill the promises of the Paris Agreement. Earthjustice is using the power of the law to hold them accountable and protect people and the planet. |
| With your support we are pushing our leaders to move towards a zero-emissions and 100% clean energy economy that works for everyone. |
| This is what that looks like: |
- Cleaning up the electricity grid by advancing a shift from fossil fuel-burning power plants to renewable energy resources, like solar and wind, and promoting energy efficiency.
- Fighting in court to stop fossil fuel projects, like pipelines and petrochemical plants, that harm communities and exacerbate the climate crisis.
- Advocating for sweeping legislation that centers environmental justice, cleans up pollution, and invests in climate solutions.
- Protecting our public lands and waters from fossil fuel leasing to help shift our country towards a cleaner future.
- Working to improve pollution standards for new cars and trucks and move towards all electric transportation.
