Hello Colorado Republicans!

Yesterday, we held a press conference with our Republican leaders in the State Senate and House, allies on the center right, grassroots conservatives, candidates, and Hispanic community leaders to release the Republican Commitment to Colorado. ([link removed]) With this Commitment as the foundation, Republicans are offering better solutions for Colorado's future. We are the party whose leaders will make Colorado affordable, prioritize public safety, and expand educational opportunities for all families.

You can read the full Commitment here: [link removed]

One way we can deliver on this Commitment is to help pass the Colorado Property Tax Rate Reduction Initiative this November. This Initiative has been endorsed by the State GOP, and it would be the largest property tax cut in Colorado history. Passing this tax cut in November 2021 will help make Colorado affordable.

In our Commitment, we also promise to bring back accountability and transparency to government. This includes the Secretary of State's office where Jena Griswold constantly undermines the people's faith in elections. Please reach out to our Election Integrity Committee at
[email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) to get signed up to be a trained election judge, poll watcher, or attorney.

Please don't forget to sign up for a Local Candidate Support day ([link removed]) . With your help, we can win City Council, Mayor, and School Board races in November 2021!

Thanks for all you're doing!

Sterling Journal- Advocate: ([link removed]) From the Eastern Plains to the Western Slope, Coloradans share a desire for more affordable living, prioritizing public safety and expansion of educational choice, a delegation of Republican elected officials and the Colorado Republican Party claimed Monday.

Those priorities were among 10 the Republican Party unveiled as their Commitment to Colorado platform at a news conference held at Sinclair Gas Station in Denver.

“Republicans will always stand up for working class families, our children, our small business owners, our farmers and ranchers and all those who want to work hard and build the American Dream,” said Kristi Burton Brown, chairwoman of the Colorado Republican Party.

She noted the price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.69 at the station Monday, while just six months ago it was $2.19.

** Representative Lauren Boebert takes action to reopen I-70
------------------------------------------------------------
KJCT: ([link removed]) Representative Lauren Boebert is currently taking action to reopen the I-70 corridor through Glenwood Canyon. This comes after severe mudslides and flash flooding blocked several portions of I-70, burying the road in as much as 10 feet of mud, tearing down retaining walls, and damaging the roadway.

Representative Boebert, along with Governor Jared Polis are preparing to request a federal disaster declaration this week which would provide Colorado with federal resources to respond to this natural disaster. This comes after the Governor issued a state disaster declaration on Friday because of the damage from mudslides that forced the I-70 closure through Glenwood Canyon.

“We’ve seen I-70 closures before but mudslides & damage to this extent isn’t just an inconvenience,” said Congresswoman Lauren Boebert. “It’s a disaster that has created a real emergency for folks on the western slope who rely on this Interstate for essential goods & services.”

** Conservative Ken Buck defies GOP leadership in charge against Big Tech
------------------------------------------------------------
Washington Examiner: ([link removed]) Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado has transformed himself from a free-market evangelist to a crusader against tech monopolies.

Buck, the top Republican on the powerful House antitrust subcommittee, has played a key role in forging a bipartisan agreement in Congress that would rein in Big Tech companies such as Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple.
....

Buck said he has been fortunate to be in a position of power at the right moment.

“My trajectory, a lot of it is being in the right place at the right time,” Buck told the Washington Examiner. "Because of opportunities given to me on the antitrust subcommittee, I’m trying to take advantage of that to help. But also because God is good."

He said that unlike many other members of Congress, including many Republicans who have been censored by social media giants such as Facebook ([link removed]) and YouTube, he had no personal issues or grudges with the tech companies.
