John — The U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) just released a sixth edition of their climate report and it includes vital information we think you need to know. We’ll be direct: the toplines aren’t good.

*
Extreme
weather
events
like
heat
waves,
wildfires,
droughts
and
floods
are
a
direct
consequence
of
climate
change
and
are
getting
worse.
*
Sea
level
rise
is
quickly
speeding
up.
Globally,
sea
levels
rose
about
8
inches
on
average
between
1901
and
2018.
*
While
it’s
still
possible
to
meet
the
goals
set
by
the
Paris
Climate
Accords,
it
gets
harder
each
passing
day
and
would
require
a
wide
scale
reductions
in
carbon
emissions.

John, the good news is that there is still time to avoid some of the worst consequences of climate change. If nations around the world take dramatic steps to rollback carbon emissions, Earth could stop warming and even grow cooler by the middle of this century.

But the message in this report to global leaders is more dire than ever before — we need immediate action.
