We wanted
to give you a report on what Ayanna’s been up to this month.

In the midst of an ongoing pandemic, an economic crisis, and deep
uncertainty for many, Ayanna has continued to advocate for transformative
policies to protect and support all of our communities:

* In response to the emergency created by the expiration of the eviction
moratorium, Ayanna joined Representative Cori Bush and others in
calling for an urgent extension of the moratorium to protect the
millions of families at risk of becoming unhoused.

She joined Cori in protest at the Capitol to put pressure on Congress
and the Biden Administration to do what’s right – resulting in the
extension of the moratorium in areas with high rates of COVID-19.

* Ayanna is still fighting for the permanent cancellation of student
loan debt. Student loan debt is not only an economic justice issue,
but also a racial justice issue – disproportionately impacting Black
and Brown people, preventing them from building wealth and accessing
opportunity.

Last week, the Biden Administration and Department of Education
announced an extension of the pause on student loan repayments. If
this Administration has the power to pause payments, they have the
power to cancel them for good and provide critical relief to the
millions of people struggling under the burden of student loan debt.

* Ayanna called on the Department of Justice to strengthen the current
moratorium on federal executions by formally directing federal
prosecutors to stop seeking the death penalty. Ayanna won’t back down
until the death penalty is abolished for good.

This bold and urgent advocacy has made Ayanna the target of conservatives
and right-wing groups, who have already funneled tens of thousands of
dollars into spreading disinformation about Ayanna and our movement.

From Republican members calling for her to be censured, to police union
PACs funding a text message campaign against us — we need to ensure our
campaign has the resources to fight back today.

[ [link removed] ]Will you support our movement by making a
$3 contribution – or whatever you can afford – today, to
help us fight back against these attacks and ensure that we can keep
Ayanna in Congress working for all of us?
