I got in this race because of the grave damage to voting rights done by our current Republican Secretary of State. Ohio is turning into a testing ground for some of the worst voter suppression laws in the country, John.
Polling locations across the state have been shut down and ballot boxes removed. Voting hours have been slashed. And thousands of Ohioans have already been purged from voter rolls.
Our democracy can’t survive under these conditions -- and John, that’s exactly what Republicans are hoping for. So I’m running for Secretary of State to put power back in the hands of voters like you, John.
I’ll expand our democracy to every Ohioan by lengthening the in‑person early voting timeline, establishing automatic and same‑day voter registration, and ending the purging of voter rolls.
Because this state belongs to all of us, not just the rich and well connected.
