Serving my country is all I’ve ever really wanted to do. I’m the son and grandson of Navy chiefs, and I want to create the same great future for my daughter that their hard work and courage created for me.
Today, Congress fails to get enough done because it’s filled with too many career politicians - they haven’t built a business from scratch or fought terrorists on the ground.
We need a new generation of leadership in Washington of servant leaders who lead by example with their values and deliver results, not excuses.
My commitment to you now is the same as it was to my fellow soldiers in combat: I will serve with everything I have, and I will do it honor and duty.
But just like in the battlefield on the Middle East, I know that no great challenge can be met alone.
