Today, the Senate passed a historic infrastructure bill. It's a big deal. From repairing roads and bridges, to expanding access to broadband and fighting the climate crisis, this is a huge win for Michigan and our country.
With Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House and majorities in both the U.S. House and Senate, Democrats keep getting things done for the American people.
I hope you're as proud as I am, but here's the thing: our progress is so fragile.
The reality is that Democrats have a narrow one-seat majority in the U.S. Senate. In the U.S. House, experts are saying Democrats would actually lose the majority if the midterm elections were held today.
Look, these are challenging times. We need MORE days to celebrate like today, not fewer. With so much on the line, we have to keep fighting for our progress.
