Dear John,

I’ll be broadcasting from the outdoor recreation industry’s major trade show, Outdoor Retailer, as part of the Conservation Alliance’s Breakfast forum - along with professional ultra runner and environmental activist Claire Gallagher, and Joseph Goldstein, the inspirational leader of Kids for the Boundary Waters.

The Conservation Alliance and its member companies are prioritizing precedent-setting national public lands conservation efforts over the next two years, including restoring Bears Ears National Monument, defending the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling, and protecting the Boundary Waters Wilderness from copper mining.

So please join me Wednesday morning to hear stories from my recent 100-mile adventure run across the Wilderness, which will be featured in a short film coming this fall. Joseph will be sharing his childhood connection to this Wilderness and how he helped build a youth-led nation wide grassroots campaign to protect the Boundary Waters at the age of 13.
For the Wilderness,
Alex Falconer
Ultra-runner and Save the Boundary Waters’ Director of Government Relations
