Emperor penguins are on the verge of extinction, and climate change is to blame. But Food & Water Watch is fighting corporate polluters and their political enablers to address the source of the problem. Please consider making a gift to help stop climate change and protect penguins.

John,
Climate change is devastating the planet and its wildlife. As the planet heats up, many of its delicate ecosystems are in danger, and many creatures that rely on them are heading toward extinction.
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), one in four mammal species and one in eight birds are at high risk of extinction — including the emperor penguin. If we don’t halt the current pace of global warming, more than 98 percent of emperor penguin colonies could be extinct by 2100. We can't let that happen.
That’s why Food & Water Watch is fighting climate change at the source: Big Oil & Gas's drilling and fracking. And YOU can help. Make a tax-deductible gift today — even $5 can help fight climate change and protect penguins.

The emperor penguin’s unique and wondrous habitat makes them incredibly vulnerable to climate change, because like polar bears, they depend on sea ice for survival. They are also essential to the Antarctic food chain, as they feed on krill, squid and small fish, and are a source of food for leopard seals and orcas. If they go extinct, the entire ecosystem will be in jeopardy.
Food & Water Watch is fighting to protect penguins, our planet and its ecosystems every day by taking on corporate polluters like the fossil fuel industry and its political enablers. Our goals are clear: ban fracking, shut down polluting pipelines and win legislation that will truly stop runaway climate change. But we can’t do any of this without YOU.

Antarctica might seem like an untouchable place, but it’s incredibly vulnerable to climate change — and it deserves to be protected.
Emperor penguins live life in a delicate balance — too little sea ice and their chicks drown. Already, sea ice cover has shrunk by more than 60 percent in the last 30 years, and one emperor penguin colony has already disappeared. We can’t allow others to meet the same fate.
This planet is the only one we have. Let’s protect it and the wildlife that call it home. Please consider a donation today to help fund our campaigns to fight climate change and take on corporate polluters.
