I will always protect Social Security

My mother Peggy relies on Social Security as her primary source of income, and she’s far from alone.

For tens of millions of American seniors, children, disabled, and veterans, Social Security is a lifeline. In our district alone, over 129,000 Marylanders receive Social Security -- and that includes thousands of diabled workers, survivors, and children.

I’ve spent my time in Congress helping Marylanders navigate the Social Security system to make sure they get the benefits they have earned. I fought to protect Social Security in the face of the Trump Administration’s threats to slash this wildly popular and effective program, and I’ve worked to increase benefits for recipients.

I will always fight to protect and improve Social Security for people like my mother Peggy and the Marylanders who depend on it.

As a dedicated member of our grassroots community, the issues that are important to you are important to me, too. And in honor of the 86th anniversary of Social Security this Saturday, I want to know: Do you believe Congress should work to protect and improve Social Security?
