Fellow Democrats,

Our democracy is in a fragile moment of reckoning. Almost a year since the election, and Trump and his sycophants in the Republican party continue to perpetuate the "Big Lie" that the 2020 presidency was stolen (note: it wasn't). The attempted insurrection they incited at the Capitol on January 6th, and the now more than 7 people who have died as a result, was not enough for them.  

Now, they are bringing their ridiculous attempts to overthrow elections to Fairfax. A recall effort backed by the Fairfax County GOP has delivered a petition to the Fairfax County Circuit Court to remove my friend, School Board member Elaine Tholen from office, subverting the will of the voters who elected her by an overwhelming margin in 2019. 

Now more than ever, we must show strength in numbers and stand up to these absurd attacks. Can I count on you to support Elaine today with a contribution of $10, $25, $50, or even $100?

You have seen it on the news. Our public schools are under attack across the country. Fringe activists and outside groups are disrupting school board meetings and planning to recall a long list of school board members so they can take over those seats. 

Chip in today. Let’s send a message that we will defend School Board leaders like Elaine who are under seige from extremists seeking to undermine democracy and destroy our public education.
