Friend,

By the end of today, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge could be opened back up for oil and gas drilling.

The oil industry got its foot in the door during the Trump administration, and now U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski is trying to pry that door open with an amendment to a must-pass budget bill.

The Senate could vote as soon as tonight, and we need to raise every voice we can to show them that Coloradans want the Arctic Refuge protected from destructive drilling.

Tell our U.S. senators that they need to protect the Arctic from destructive oil and gas drilling.

If the Arctic is opened up to another lease sale, it will allow oil companies to drill and devastate the natural beauty of this untouched wilderness. The polar bears, caribou and golden eagles who call the Arctic home could have their dens and nests destroyed by machinery and oil leaks.

We shouldn't be destroying one of our most precious places for a little more oil -- and we especially shouldn't do it as the result of a last-minute vote attached to a must-pass piece of legislation.

Contact our U.S. senators now.

Much of the 19.64 million acres of the Arctic Refuge have been protected since the 1960s, when people like you spoke up to persuade the Eisenhower administration to save this vast wilderness.[1] Over the last few years, we rallied tens of thousands of voices to stop drilling despite the efforts of the Trump administration.

Now, we need your help to continue this legacy of protection for our northern wonder. It's time to make sure this irreplaceable wilderness is protected once more.

Don't let oil companies decimate the Arctic -- take action now to help save the refuge.
