While President Biden has restored confidence in our government, one major holdover from the Trump Administration remains unaddressed: Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

Donald Trump’s Postmaster General remains in place and is working as hard as ever to slash post office services, slow delivery times, and raise postage rates.

Just last week the Washington Post reported that a company DeJoy used to run, and continues to maintain financial ties to, just won a major multi-year contract from USPS. Whether DeJoy recused himself from this decision or not, the fact is that he stands to benefit financially. That casts a dark shadow on the deal and DeJoy while he remains in charge of USPS.

The truth is that Louis DeJoy has shown us time and time again that he is unfit to lead the United States Postal Service. He should resign his post immediately. Add your name to my petition if you agree >> [[link removed]]

This news is just the latest in a string of alleged improprieties. It comes on the heels of the Post reporting in early June that DeJoy was being investigated by the FBI for a potentially illegal campaign contributions scheme.

And, most of all, there is DeJoy's gross mismanagement of the Postal Service during an historic pandemic which resulted in slowed deliveries around the country and individuals who could not get life-sustaining medications, consumers being charged late fees because of postal delays, small businesses losing business, and heightened concerns about the reliability of voting by mail.

When is enough enough?

Our postal service is part of our critical infrastructure. It remains a lifeline for millions. We need a Postmaster General we can trust to put our nation’s mail ahead of their own self-interest. Louis DeJoy has proven he is not that leader.
