Friend --
It’s an honor to tell you personally that the Senate just passed $1 trillion in infrastructure spending.
Our landmark infrastructure plan is one step closer to President Biden for his
signature. And now we’re going to charge full-steam ahead towards passing
another $3.5 TRILLION to invest in climate action and human infrastructure.
This is historic. This once-in-a-generation win is only possible because we have a Democratic
majority in the Senate. And it makes it all the more clear that we must defend and expand our majority next year.
So I have to ask: will you donate $1 now to make sure we keep our majority next year and save all our hard-won progress? [link removed] [link removed]
Here’s just some of what you’ve helped make possible: The largest federal investment in public transit -- ever. The largest investment in clean energy transmission and electric vehicle infrastructure in historyBillions to rebuild our electric grid with clean energy and new power linesMore than $100 billion to fix our crumbling roads and bridgesThe largest investment in clean drinking water infrastructure in American history, delivering clean water to millions of families.$65 billion to improve our broadband infrastructure and expand access to high-speed internetThe largest federal investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak (this one is a big deal to me as a New Yorker.)
The list goes on. If you advocated for this, made a donation, or signed a
petition to urge lawmakers to act fast, you made a direct impact on this. When
President Biden signs this once-in-a-generation investment, you’ll know that you
helped make it happen.
But this is just the beginning. We’re getting right back to work to pass our
$3.5 trillion budget plan to take real climate action, expand Medicare, offer
free community college and more. But Republicans are dead-set on blocking this
plan and attacking our Democratic majority, so I need your help.
Will you chip in to help protect the Democratic Senate majority and the real progress we just made? [link removed]
This is a big day. More soon,
