It’s critical that Senators take action before leaving Washington for the planned August recess. On August 16th, new Census data will be released allowing state legislatures to draw new districts for Congress. Extremist Republican legislators are planning to make a corrupt power grab by redrawing districts to silence voters for the next 10 years. The Senate MUST pass reform before the 16th to STOP gerrymandering before it starts!

But that’s not the only reason the Senate needs to take action. Nearly 400 voter suppression bills have been introduced by Republican lawmakers across the country, and billionaire dark money continues to corrupt our elections.

The For the People Act would stop gerrymandering, expand and protect the freedom to vote, and take on the toxic influence of big money by empowering small donors.
