What congressional district will we be in for the next ten years?

The AZ Redistricting Commission is listening. They have been hearing from conservative Green Valley voices but they have heard very little from alliance4action. Let's correct that today.
 
Today, August 10th by 5pm is the final opportunity to submit comments online to the AZ Redistricting Commission's  "Communities of Interest Survey."
 
It's important they hear from you. Some conservative voices have urged that electoral maps be redrawn placing  Green Valley/Sahuarita in the same voting districts as Oro Valley, Marana, Vail and even Saddlebrook, arguing that Green Valley has nothing in common with Tucson or Santa Cruz County. Really?   Don't we go to Tucson for shopping, restaurants, healthcare, sporting and cultural events? Do we appreciate the history and art of Tubac, the cultural diversity of  Santa Cruz County,  share similar concerns for the protection of our water and mountains with their rich  biodiversity and  opportunities for birding, hiking, astronomy, and tourism that boosts our economy?
 
Let the Commission know what makes Green Valley, the entire Santa Cruz Valley and Tucson  your own "Community of Interest."  It's doubtful you feel closer to a gerrymandered vision of community than the one you actually live in.
