For firefighters, teachers, union workers, and New Jersey families, lifting the SALT deduction cap is a must.
The SALT deduction cap takes money out of their pockets. It also impacts virtually every aspect of our communities by hindering state and local governments from delivering crucial services and benefits. That hindrance threatens our ability to make meaningful investments in our communities that lift up all New Jersey families.
These are the kinds of investments that make New Jersey’s public school system one of the best in the country; provide for stronger wages for teachers, firefighters, and nurses; and ensure excellent and reliable emergency services. The cap also makes it harder for firefighters to keep our neighborhoods safe and for teachers to help our children succeed in school.
That’s something that affects all of us.
That’s why I launched the Summer of SALT to increase momentum behind my efforts in Congress to lift the harmful cap. And it’s why I’m asking for 10,000 grassroots supporters to join me in this fight. We still need 4,801 more signatures for our petition -- will you add your name?
Thank you for all you do,
Mikie
