Keeping our communities safe and healthy has always been my top priority. It's one of the reasons I ran for Congress and what's fueled me throughout the past year and a half.

With the Delta COVID-19 variant overwhelming hospitals across the country, I wanted to ensure you had the resources needed to protect yourself and your loved ones from COVID-19.

The number one thing to know right now is that vaccines don't protect against COVID-19 -- vaccinations do. Three different COVID-19 vaccines are widely available, but only a little over half of Coloradans are vaccinated right now. We can't stop until every eligible Coloradan is fully vaccinated.

If you or anyone you know isn't vaccinated, they can find a vaccination site near them here.

And while the vaccine is the best and most effective precaution against COVID-19, it isn't the only one. I strongly encourage you to consider masking up when you're in public indoor spaces, regardless of vaccinated status, to slow the spread of the Delta variant. Please also quarantine and get a COVID-19 test if you come into contact with someone who tested positive. You can find a local COVID-19 test site here →

John, we've come so far already but still have so far to go to fully recover from COVID-19. I know that if we all do our part, we'll be able to move forward.
