Dear John,
COVID-19 hospitalizations are rising again in North Texas, surpassing last summer’s peak and causing ICU beds to fill up. This is deeply concerning, which is why I wanted to provide you with some information about the vaccine and encourage you to get your shot if you haven’t already.
Facts about the COVID-19 Vaccine
- The vaccine is safe and effective at preventing serious illness and infection, even against the Delta variant.
- The vaccine is free to everyone, even those without health insurance.
- Individuals ages 12 and up are eligible to receive the vaccine.
The vaccine is a critical tool in stopping the spread of COVID-19, keeping our family and friends healthy and safe, and ending this pandemic. I hope you will consider getting your vaccine and you can find a vaccine location near you by visiting vaccines.gov.
