When I raised my hand to take the oath of office in 2019, I could never have imagined what the next three years would bring: A barrage of attacks from national politicians, corporate special interests, and the former president. A foiled kidnapping attempt. And, of course, a global pandemic that would take the lives of almost 20,000 Michiganders and bring our state’s economy to a grinding halt.

Despite all these almost unimaginable challenges, we have kept our eye on the ball. Through hard work, perseverance, and political courage, my administration has tackled our state’s long standing infrastructure, healthcare, and education challenges while taking decisive action to save lives and rebuild Michigan’s economy.

Today, despite our many policy successes and continued forward momentum, we face a tough fight. After spending more than $1 million attacking me, the political insiders recruited their henchman to challenge me.
