Hi John,

Do you serve as resident services staff, or know someone who does? If so, then I am thrilled to share that a unique professional development opportunity, designed especially for resident services staff, is coming up soon!

The third cohort of the Community Advocacy & Voter Engagement (CAVE) Professional Certification begins exactly one month from today on Thursday, September 9!

What Is CAVE?

The Community Advocacy and Voter Engagement (CAVE) Certification program is offered to resident staff of NPH member organizations, (not a member? Learn more and become a member today) designed to train these staff in becoming advocates in their communities. Participants will walk away with:

  • Knowledge of the history of affordable housing organizing in the Bay Area
  • Digital organizing skills
  • Leadership strategies
  • Tools to engage their residents in advocacy, voting, and other activities geared toward housing and racial justice

Resident service staff are the unsung heroes of the affordable housing industry! The goal of CAVE is to help build a sustainable housing justice movement with community at the core, ensuring that those who work in affordable housing sites everyday have a voice in decision-making.

CAVE 2021 Goodies

  • Participants will receive a free copy of NPH’s first Advocacy 101 Workbook.

  • Participants will be offered a seat at the NPH Resident Services Working Group to share their experiences, give feedback about policy initiatives, and inform NPH’s programming opportunities.

  • During the training, participants will be entered into a raffle to win tickets to the NPH Conference or a Brown Bag Training, their choice.

I can’t wait to see you at the training this September! If you have any questions about CAVE, please reach out to me directly at [email protected].

¡Gracias!
