Hi Alumnus,
Do you know a young leader who would benefit from Heritage's Academy program? It's our newest leadership program that is fully virtual and meant for those who are working, in school, or might not have the time to commit to an internship. It's like a "101" course on conservative principles and policies. It's a 3-5 hour/week commitment, including two weekly pre-recorded lectures, two corresponding live Q&A sessions, and a biweekly discussion group. We rely on our alumni like you to help us find talented individuals who can help us build an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish. Our deadline for fall Academy applications is coming up this Friday - please share it with anyone who may be interested: https://www.heritage.org/the-academy.
The Academy has been crafted to educate students, young professionals, and civic leaders on the foundational principles of American political thought and the important policy debates facing our country. This 12-week program is designed to increase your leadership capabilities and to help you engage more meaningfully in your communities and more confidently in policy debates.
Through a series of two weekly, private one-hour webinars, participants will:
- Engage with Heritage scholars, policy experts and movement leaders
- Study the foundational principles of American political thought
- Explore current issues in foreign, domestic, and economic policy
- Take part in in-depth leadership training, career exploration panels and job skills seminars
- Participate in reading groups and discussions
- Connect with other students, young professionals, and civic leaders from across the country
The deadline to apply for the Summer 2021 Academy program is August 13th.
Participants must attend 80% of the Academy program in order to graduate and receive The Academy’s certificate of completion. Academy graduates will then be able to list this credential on resumes and will receive invitations to exclusive Heritage events, priority access for more advanced programs, and future events offered by The Heritage Foundation.
Apply at www.heritage.org/the-academy.
Best,
Kelley
