$100 Million for Feminist Political Mobilization and Leadership

Over the next five years, Open Society will invest $100 million in a range of feminist-led movements across a variety of sectors.

Feminist leaders are key to building inclusive and tolerant societies. Gender justice can combat rising authoritarianism, repel attacks on reproductive rights, strengthen workers’ rights, and stop targeted online harassment, among other benefits.

Ten million dollars of this funding will cover international development aid cuts made by the UK government recently, which had broken its commitments to international public health—especially among women and girls.
