Dire IPCC Report on Climate Crisis

In an open letter sent to leaders in the United States and Canada, more than 500 U.S., Canadian, and international organizations called on policymakers in both countries to reject carbon capture and storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) as dangerous distractions and to end the “carbon capture of climate policy.”

Ivy Frignoca is the Casco Baykeeper protecting coastal Maine. Ivy grew up in suburban New Jersey, keenly aware of the deleterious effects of pollution. Now a lawyer and environmental advocate, she helped the largest wastewater facility in the state reduce its nitrogen output into Casco Bay.
