PFLAG National is launching PFLAG Connects: Communities, where parents and family members of LGBTQ+ people who are part of the Latino, Black/African-American, and AAPI communities can connect to give and receive support. Each meeting will be facilitated by members of the community, and will be free to join. More information is coming soon about our first meetings, starting next month. Sign up to learn more!

Three Steps to Being a Better Advocate for Safer Schools

We’ve got great digital resources so your learning doesn’t have to slow down. Stay safe and take these steps to engage:

1. Learn: Check out the resources available at pflag.org/safeschools to learn more about PFLAG National’s safe schools program.
2. Watch: PFLAG Academy On Demand includes multiple sessions on creating safer schools including Cultivating Respect: Working with Stakeholders for Safer Schools and Creating a Scholarship Program: A How-To Guide for PFLAG Chapters. Both sessions provide an opportunity to learn about the realities facing LGBTQ+ youth in schools, actions to take to advocate for safer schools in your community, and more.  
3. Share: Use social media to share information about scholarships offered by PFLAG chapters in your state or region.

Phone bank for equality for everyone, everywhere, at all times

Want to help us fight for equality? Phone bank with us! PFLAG National, in partnership with the NEAT, is providing an opportunity for our members and supporters to talk to voters in target states and patch them through to their Senators’ offices to urge them to vote YES on the federal legislation in support of equality. Never phone banked before? No worries! Our partner organization, The NEAT, provides a quick training to get you comfortable with using the phone bank tool. You can sign up any time and phonebank whenever is convenient for you. Register and make some calls for equality!
