Right here in California, Republicans are making another attempt to overturn legitimate election results. They are trying to recall Governor Gavin Newsom with a smear campaign that is costing California taxpayers millions of dollars.

Recent polls are showing that this will be a tight race, so we need all hands on deck. That’s why I’m asking you to join me for a virtual phone banking event in support of Governor Gavin Newsom, this Wednesday, August 11, from 5-7 PM PT.

During this virtual event, we will make phone calls on behalf of Governor Newsom and his Stop the Recall campaign. Come for two hours, 15 minutes, or however long you can stay! And no need for prior experience — my fantastic staff will be available to provide training and answer any questions.

We don’t have any time to spare because gubernatorial recall ballots will start arriving in Californians’ mailboxes in just a few days. It’s absolutely critical that we defeat this baseless recall, and with us by his side I’m confident Governor Newsom can stand up to these partisan attacks. I’ll be there, can I count on you to join me Wednesday evening?
