In a disturbing admission, the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reveals the threat posed by
terrorists attempting to conceal explosives in air cargo shipments is
“significant” and the agency is not prepared to stop it. The disclosure
comes more than a decade after Al Qaeda tried to blow up a passenger
airplane with explosives hidden in printer cartridges on a U.S.-bound
flight from Yemen. The bombs traveled on several freight and passenger
planes before being defused. They were bound for Chicago, but federal
authorities believe terrorists planned to detonate the bombs mid-air using
cell phone timers.

candidate, PA lawmaker call for investigation after reports on Pitt fetal
tissue research

University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) is facing fresh calls for an investigation
on its federally funded research on fetal tissue, after information
surfaced that many say is troubling.
Republican state Rep. Kathy Rapp, who chairs the majority for the
legislature’s Health Committee, sent a letter Thursday requesting
Pennsylvania’s auditor general review Pitt’s state and federal funding.
Pennsylvania Republican Sean Parnell, who is running for U.S. Senate, also
called for an investigation.

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has funneled at
least $2.7 million into a University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) tissue
bank that stores organs from aborted fetuses, according to a
release from Judicial Watch Tuesday.
The conservative nonprofit obtained hundreds of pages of public records
requests, which detail Pitt’s interest in harvesting fetal organs for a
project known as the GenitoUrinary Development Molecular Anatomy Project,
or GUDMAP.
