At a Republican fundraiser in Alabama last week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene cheered the state’s low vaccination rate and suggested unvaccinated people should greet potential public health volunteers with guns.

Let’s be clear: the COVID-19 vaccines work and can save your life. If you aren’t vaccinated yet and you are able to do so, please go get the shot.

But amid a surge in cases among unvaccinated people, Rep. Greene is not only discouraging people from taking the steps that could save their lives -- she’s encouraging violence against people trying to help.

It’s outrageous. But it’s what we’ve come to expect from Rep. Greene and the Trump extremists she has aligned herself with.

We can’t allow these anti-vax, anti-science, and anti-democracy Republicans to take power ever again.
