| Fellow American, In another move of blatant hypocrisy – the leftist Democrats are rolling out new mandates to require individuals to produce proof of their COVID-19 vaccination to enter restaurants, gyms, entertainment centers, etc. Yet, Democrats strongly oppose laws that protect our elections by requiring individuals to prove their identity with an ID when they go to vote. It seems logical. If I have to show New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio something as personal and private as my health care records, just to have a steak dinner in New York City, the least we should do is require people to prove they are who they say they are before they take on the very important responsibility of voting. If you agree, will you add your name to my petition to ensure states are being consistent about their identification requirements?
If states that take federal money for elections feel the need to make residents verify a piece of information as private as their vaccination status, just to return to normalcy, then they should have no problem requiring people to prove their identity when they go to vote. That’s why I’ve introduced legislation requiring states who mandate vaccine passports, also mandate voter ID – to ensure they are being consistent about their identification requirements.  This shouldn’t be controversial at all, Fellow American, in fact, the only reason Democrats are opposed is because it doesn’t align with their agenda.
