Dear John,

Today, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a group of expert scientists convened by the United Nations, released a major new report showing that climate change is happening even faster than often thought. If we don’t meet the moment with equal intensity and actions now, we will see more dramatic heat waves, wildfires, flooding, sea-level rise, and extreme weather.

Congress must take strong climate action. It’s not just a want to do, but a must do.

TAKE ACTION NOW

Here’s the good news, we know what’s needed to slow this trend: immediate, deliberate and large-scale actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We can do this with strong, effective leadership and urgency.

Please contact your members of Congress today and urge them to act now.

Thank you.
