This is extremely concerning, John. Here’s what’s happening:
A couple of months ago, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case challenging Mississippi’s abortion laws. With a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, there’s a real chance they will decide to overturn Roe v. Wade.
To make matters even worse, Mike Pence is now leading GOP efforts to support this challenge. His conservative advocacy group, Advancing American Freedom, recently filed a brief to support Mississippi’s abortion ban.
This was the first major policy action Mike Pence’s group has taken since he launched his organization in April. Ever since, dozens of other ultra-conservative groups have followed Mike Pence’s lead to support this attack on reproductive rights and fundraise money toward the dismantling of Roe v. Wade.
Let’s show Mike Pence and his anti-abortion allies that we’re ready to fight and defend our reproductive freedom. Will you chip in $3 to power our organizing and mobilization efforts so we can put the pressure on our lawmakers to defend abortion rights and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act?
In his 62 years, Mike Pence has made a name for himself as one of the all-time worst GOP politicians for women and for reproductive rights.
His sexist, regressive, and anti-women policies have been horrible for our country — but Women's Marchers came together to march, mobilize, organize, and vote in record numbers in protest of his and Trump's election. And together, we WON.
Now, we have to fight like this again to defend our reproductive freedom and end this vicious period of attacks on Roe v. Wade. With a conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court, it will take everything this women-led movement can do to fight back against this attack.
