Last month, we sent out a survey asking what issues were most pressing to you. You responded in droves, and we'd like to share some of the important points that you made.
First off, many folks are rightfully concerned about the fate of our democracy in Republican hands.
Peter C. knows that the GOP will “continue to prioritize division over progress” And David C. told us that he hopes Democrats in Congress will “tackle climate change” while Patricia wants Democrats to “end GOP gerrymandering.”
We know the tactics used by Republicans to rig our democracy and disregard the will of the people in their pursuit of power are anti-democratic.
That's why we're doing everything we can to prevent a Republican House takeover in 2022, John.
Another sentiment we heard a lot was the need for a House that protects the dignity and human rights of all, not one that tramples over the voices of marginalized groups to grab power.
Joanne wants the House to stand up for human rights, including “civil, LGBTQ, reproductive, voting, workers' and women's rights.” We completely agree, which is why we're fighting for a Democratic majority that will advance legislation to protect workers, ensure equal pay and racial justice, protect our planet, and stand up for everyday families.
But John, none of these issues can be addressed unless House Democrats keep all of our seats in 2022. If we don't act now, the GOP will ensure that the issues that matter most to you will never see the light of day.
