Earlier today the U.N. Secretary General issued a new alarming report on the global climate crisis — calling this moment “code red for humanity".

But we don’t need to read the report to know that — we can plainly see what’s happening all around us. There’s no denying the climate crisis is here and now.

There’s no time left to waste. Urgent action is needed now to stop extreme and devastating climate change from causing severe long term destruction and making our planet unlivable for future generations.

That’s why I have introduced the Polluters Pay Climate Fund Act to require the largest polluters — like Big Oil — to pay into a climate fund that supports measures to help save our planet. It will require the 25-30 biggest polluters to pay into the fund at rates based on a percentage of a company’s global carbon emissions since the year 2000. Those who polluted more, will pay more.

It's going to take significant funding to attack climate change head-on. The world’s largest polluters made trillions while spewing greenhouse gases and they need to help pay for the clean up.

If you agree, add your name to show your support for the Polluters Pay Climate Fund Act. It’s time for the biggest polluters to pay to help confront climate change and the accelerating harm they are causing >> [link removed]

Only sustained collective action can turn the tide on climate change and save our planet from irreparable harm. We lost four years with Donald Trump and the climate deniers.

We need to act now and we need to act boldly.

Thank you for being a partner in this mission.
