John, we didn’t see your name on our recent petition demanding that Congress stop allowing price gouging. Can you add your name right now?
Working families shouldn't have to decide between picking up groceries or their prescriptions. But greedy Big Pharma CEOs continue to raise the prices of life-saving drugs so they can line the pockets of their investors and executives.
Thank you for your support,

Subject: [Add your name] No more price gouging

John,
So far this year, Big Pharma has jacked up the prices of 21 of the 25 most expensive drugs covered by Medicare. These same drugs cost taxpayers around $47 BILLION in 2019.
Skyrocketing drug prices cost us all.
Just a few months ago, Katie was questioning a Big Pharma CEO about the rising cost of his company’s medications. This CEO tried explaining that the reason his company’s drugs were so expensive was because of "research and development costs."
One of those company’s most expensive drugs now costs $77,000—a 470 percent increase from when the drug entered the market in 2003. There is no way that price increase was only being used for "research and development."
So Katie took out her whiteboard and visual aids to show exactly where most of the company’s money was really going: directly into the pockets of investors, shareholders, and executives.
Despite Katie calling out the unethical price gouging of this company, they are still able to continue these practices—until Congress does something about it.
Thank you,
Team Katie Porter
