MISSION VIEJO MAYOR TRISH KELLEY ENDORSES BRIAN MARYOTT
"BRIAN IS ON THE SIDE OF TAXPAYERS AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS" SAYS KELLEY
 

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. — On Monday, Mission Viejo Mayor Trish Kelley released the following endorsement statement in support of Brian Maryott for Congress:

"We need leaders in Congress who understand both the importance of financial responsibility and the negative impact of government overreach. Cities, small businesses, and taxpayers, have for years been under attack by extreme politicians pushing out of control spending bills, harmful agendas, and costly regulations. It's time our local communities have an ally in Congress. Brian Maryott's successful careers as a mayor and a Certified Financial Planner will be to the benefit of his constituents. CD49 will finally have a Congressman that's on the side of taxpayers and small business owners. Under Brian Maryott's leadership, our local economies will have the freedom and incentive to rebuild and expand."

Brian Maryott responded, "I am honored to have this endorsement. Mayor Kelley has been a dedicated and effective elected official in Mission Viejo for almost two decades. Her leadership has had a positive impact on the entire county, as she has served admirably on numerous agency boards as well. Her support means a great deal to me personally and our entire team." 

Trish Kelley was originally elected to the Mission Viejo City Council in November 2002. She served as Mayor in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2014. The Marine Corps brought Trish and her husband, Jack, here in 1977 when he served as a pilot at the Marine Corps Air Station at El Toro. Trish has been volunteering in the community since she moved to Mission Viejo. She has been an active volunteer in church, youth sports, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Relay for Life, Saddleback College Foundation, and served as PTA President at three different schools. The Kelleys have three grown children and nine young grandchildren.
