Ever since I stepped into the halls of Congress and started holding CEOs, big banks, and corporate special interests accountable to the people, I’ve been labeled as a ‘troublemaker’ by them and their friends in the GOP.

With years of experience as a consumer advocate and educator, I’m not afraid to ask the tough questions and speak truth to power – whether it’s standing up to a company that’s ripping off the American people, or this president who’s doing the same.

That’s why it comes as no surprise to me that the Republican Party has made me a top target in their efforts to take back the House in 2020. Already, I have multiple right-wing opponents gunning for my seat (including one who doesn’t even live in the district!). Last week, I was targeted by pro-Trump protesters who gathered outside my Irvine office to oppose my early support for Trump’s impeachment.

With help from groups like DFA, counter-protesters stepped up, matched the size of the conservative protest group, and made it clear: we’re not going anywhere, and we will hold this president, his right-wing cronies, and his corporate friends accountable.
