John, I know you’ve gotten a lot of emails about our lofty $1 million online fundraising goal for August, so I thought I’d reach out and explain how we got to that number.

Simply put, we need to run the largest grassroots mobilization effort Virginia has ever seen. Here’s what that entails:

- Sending Get Out The Vote literature to every corner of the Commonwealth so each and every Virginia voter knows how and when to cast their ballot for Terry
- Funding our TV ads — and doing our best to keep pace with Glenn Youngkin’s MASSIVE TV spending budget
- Staffing up our field organizing team all across Virginia, so we can personally connect with every single Virginian and share Terry’s vision of progress

These are critical elements of our GOTV plan, John but they can all be pretty costly.

Not to mention, the National Republican Committee is already planning on pouring millions in Virginia to fund their own field program for Glenn Youngkin.

There’s no way around this, John. Glenn Youngkin has unlimited resources to spend, so we’ve got to out-hustle him on the ground.
