GOP candidate for Governor and COVID-19 conspiracy theorist Scott Jensen just sent an update to his supporters bragging that, despite being temporarily banned from advertising on Facebook for spreading dangerous misinformation, he now has more engagement on the platform than Republican governors Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, and Kristi Noem. In the message, Jensen also claimed that he’s raised more than $750,000 and has over $500,000 cash on hand.

These are scary numbers, team, especially for someone who was recently caught speaking at an anti-vaccination conference hosted by a right-wing extremist charged in the January 6 insurrection.

Jensen’s strategy is clear: He is pandering to the most dangerous elements of the Republican base because he knows Trumpism is still alive and well in the MN GOP. Right now, it looks like that bet is paying off, and we cannot let him get the upper hand.
