Our democracy is in crisis.
Fueled by Trump’s lies about the 2020 election, 389 bills have been introduced this year alone to make it more difficult to vote. And already, 17 states have enacted 28 new laws to stop our right to vote. It’s the worst voter suppression we’ve seen in over a decade. Voting rights are inextricably tied to finally passing gun violence prevention legislation, and there’s one thing stopping progress on both: The archaic filibuster.
The NRA and gun lobby’s favorite puppet, Mitch McConnell, is using the filibuster to block legislation that would protect our right to vote, including the For the People Act — even though he’s in the Senate minority.
That’s why we’re calling on President Biden to take a stand and demand the Senate end the filibuster to protect our freedom to vote. Sign your name today. We need your help to reach a critical mass in your area, so we can deliver your signature to the White House.
Our ability to elect gun violence prevention champions to all levels of government and pass common-sense legislation depends on all Americans’ ability to freely vote. If we want to see the historic For The People Act passed this year, President Biden needs to hear from the people to be bold and publicly urge the Senate to abolish the filibuster, breaking McConnell’s vice grip on the Senate.
The most important thing we can do is to show that a large, vocal majority of Americans won’t sit idly by with so much at stake. President Biden has vowed to do everything in his power to protect our voting rights and address gun violence — but we need him to publicly embrace the filibuster reform and take action.
We’re running out of time to protect our democracy – and to be completely frank, the filibuster is killing us. We need federal action, and we need it now. Add your name to urge President Biden to publicly demand the Senate end the filibuster and protect our freedom to vote.

Too much is at stake — thank you for raising your voice.
