John,
Senators are voting this week on a budget framework that will determine how big and bold we can be this year in building an economy that works for everyone. We need to make sure this budget meets our needs―and that it’s paid for by the rich and corporations finally paying their fair share in taxes.
Together, we’re demanding the budget ease the burden of high costs on working families and build an economy that rewards work, not wealth.
Write to your U.S. senators today to demand they vote YES on a budget that invests in jobs and the environment, makes healthcare and in-home eldercare more affordable, lowers the cost of prescription drugs, expands the Child Tax Credit, invests in childcare and education, and more―all paid for by finally making the rich and corporations pay their fair share!
President Biden’s Build Back Better plan before the Senate will invest $3.5 trillion in services for working people, and is largely paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share in taxes. No one making less than $400,000 a year will pay more in taxes.
This means raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%; treating wealth like work so the super-rich don’t pay a lower tax rate on their investments than workers pay on their wages; closing loopholes to stop corporations from outsourcing jobs and shifting profits to offshore tax havens; and cracking down on tax cheats through increased IRS enforcement.
We have a once in a generation opportunity to invest in working families and unrig our tax code to ensure the rich and corporations start paying their fair share. Take action today!
Thank you,

John,
The U.S. Senate will vote this coming week on the framework of a budget that represents the most ambitious investment in working people, children and seniors since FDR enacted the New Deal in 1933.
Thanks to you, we have a new digital ad up and running, rallying the American people around President Biden’s Build Back Better plan―paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share. This is just the beginning of our “Tax Billionaires to Build Back Better Month.” Now it’s time to ramp up the pressure on Congress.
If this budget “resolution” passes the Senate, Congres can then put together a $3.5 trillion budget “reconciliation” package that can become law with just 50 votes in the Senate―Republicans will not be able to stop it with a filibuster.
We need to drive thousands of letters to Capitol Hill this weekend, before the Senate votes next week. Click here to write to your senators today!
Our letter writing tool is easy to use.
Just enter in your information and we’ll find and target your letter to your senators. We’ve provided suggested text too, but if you’d rather write your own―which we recommend you do―you can edit it and say it in your own words.
Whether your message is short and to the point or long enough to tell your personal story―you can be sure your letter will be delivered immediately.
Click here to write to your U.S. senators and demand they vote YES on a $3.5 trillion budget that invests in working families―paid for by the rich and corporations.
While Republicans oppose these investments in President Biden’s Build Back Better plan, and some moderate Democrats want to cut these needed investments in half, our polling shows this is what the American people want—especially when it is paid for by the rich and corporations.
Thank you for taking action today,
