A lot of folks in this race are gonna tell you stories with meticulously calibrated talking points to win your vote.

But I'm gonna give it to you straight -- what sets me apart from other candidates in this race is that I'm a fifth-generation farmer and an old-school labor Democrat.

I raise hogs and cattle and grow corn, beans, and alfalfa with my family in Manilla. I know what it's like to struggle with crops drying up, business and living expenses that are through the roof, and having to worry about when the next big check will be -- if it comes at all.

The truth is, workers, small businesses, and local farmers are really struggling right now. The costs of living are through the roof, wages aren't going up, and big corporations are influencing our government through lobbyists and policy manipulation -- tilting the scales in their favor.

That's why I'm running for Senate, John, to represent the working folks of Iowa and across the country who have been left behind by Republicans and corporate Democrats.

I'm going to fight for a living wage, infrastructure investments, affordable health care, climate action, sustainable farming, and much more in the Senate. But first, I need to win this race.
