Hi John,
I don’t take any corporate money, because in Congress I want to represent people, not corporations. Can you support my grassroots campaign now, so I can fight against corporate money in politics?
Corporate money in politics is an issue that underlies so many others. When you think about why it’s so hard to make progress when the majority of Americans support our policies, it becomes clear. Just look at my opponent Derek Kilmer.
He opposes the Green New Deal ➡️ takes money from Chevron and Marathon Petroleum.
He opposes Medicare for All ➡️ takes money from healthcare and insurance companies.
Housing, poverty, climate, the list goes on.
But you know what Kilmer does support? Privatizing all asteroids in the Solar System (yes, really). Why? He takes money from asteroid mining companies.
This is what happens when you have a political system run on corporate money. Completely skewed priorities. Healthcare? No. Privatizing asteroids? Yes.
I’m fed up with corporate money in politics, and you probably are, too. Because I refuse all corporate money, every donation you give helps. Please chip in here:
