Friend,

This week, Stacey successfully passed an amendment, which if made law, will bar the Department of Justice from defending the Insular Cases, a series of racist Supreme Court rulings that have left the U.S. territories in a perpetual state of colonialism.

The second-class treatment of U.S. citizens living in our territories is unfair and un-American, and this amendment seeks to stop the government from defending the very cases that are being used to deny Social Security or full Medicare coverage to people in the territories.

Please, add your name to this petition if you agree Congress needs to take action to stop the Department of Justice from defending the racist Insular Cases! [[link removed]]

We cannot continue to deny the residents of the U.S. territories access to voting rights and critical federal programs that we pay taxes for based on the racist rulings of the 1900s.

Will you please add your name to this petition to REJECT the Insular Cases? [[link removed]]

Thanks,
Team Plaskett
