Every August we take a moment to recognize National Back to School Month. After a year and a half of unprecedented disruption caused by the pandemic, many children nationwide are preparing for a new school year. Our students are eager to continue their education this fall, but unfortunately, far too many rural school districts in ME-02 and across the country are struggling with teacher shortages.

More than half of Maine’s kids attend rural schools, which is why earlier this year Jared introduced the bipartisan Rural Education Investment Act.
