Last month, 39 million families began to see money deposited into their bank accounts through the expanded Child Tax Credit under the American Rescue Plan. This is a huge middle class tax cut.
 
Through my work as a Congressman and as a dad, I’ve met so many parents who just want the same things that I do: To give our kids a good and decent life. 

I am proud of the work that I did alongside other Future Forum Members to make the Child Tax Credit a reality, and each day I hear from more families being helped by this legislation.

With 90% of American families eligible to receive up to $300 per month per child, this Tax Credit has the potential to cut the child poverty rate in half, while making it easier for parents to pay rent, buy groceries, and cover the cost of childcare. Investing in children and families is an investment in the future — and we’re proud to have delivered this monumental relief to so many.
