Friend,

This is no secret to the people of Montana, but our state is in the midst of an affordable housing crisis.

Since 2014, housing prices have gone up by over 25%, and we're also dealing with a severe shortage of rental home availability. Not only has the lack of housing created a labor shortage, it's impacting the jobs Montanans are able to take, the schools our kids go to, and the types of communities we are able to live in.

Too many families who have lived here for years for generations are being forced to leave their beloved hometowns.

We need to prioritize access to affordable housing. That's why I'm urging Congress and the Senate to make sure affordable housing stays central in the upcoming infrastructure deal being considered in Washington.

We must keep up the public pressure, so if you agree that affordable housing should be included in the infrastructure package, please add your name next to mine.

As the Senate takes up the infrastructure debate, they're also considering a companion bill that would allocate billions to address housing needs across the country.

This bill would mean critical funds for more affordable housing, tax credits for first-time buyers, and billions in funding for rural housing -- key to addressing our workforce shortage.

The housing crisis is at a boiling point, and we cannot afford to cede ground on this issue. Sign my petition today to show your support for affordable housing in the upcoming infrastructure bill. We need to act now.
