New census data is scheduled to come out in 5 days, so we need to get fair redistricting and democracy reform on the books

Indivisibles,

Let’s get something straight: the Senate is scheduled to go on recess next week for the rest of the month, and we can’t let that happen until they pass our biggest priorities. That means removing every barrier for the For the People Act to get moving on this transformative, progressive legislation.

We’ve seen positive signs from senators, including this Washington Post article suggesting that senators might be voting in the next few days on some key provisions. But we can’t let up until all the votes are in -- and with the new census data scheduled to come out next Thursday, we don’t have any time to lose in making sure provisions like fair redistricting are on the books before states start redrawing their districts.

So we’re gearing up for the final showdown of these fights, which means we’re going to be super busy over the next few days. That means getting your phones ready -- depending on how fast these bills move, we might need to drop everything and generate as many calls as we possibly can to make sure we get big wins in the Senate before they leave for recess. And before we get down to business, we want to ask for your support.

At moments like this, it’s crucial that we keep all our tools online, our resources up to date, and the latest news flowing so that Indivisible activists have what they need to win real change. And from our web hosting and calling tool costs to the ads we run to get the word out and more, our number one priority is to spend our money in ways that’ll help this movement win a more progressive future. That money comes from grassroots donors like you: click here to donate $10 today to fund the tools that keep this movement fighting for change, from voting rights to recovery and all the other priorities we’ll tackle this year.

We’ve spent the last six months -- and the last four and a half years! -- preparing for exactly this kind of moment. This is the time when Indivisibles shine, where we can come together and flex the power of the movement for engaging senators and demanding transformative change. We’re ready to get going and win -- and we need you with us.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
