John,
When I announced this campaign, I did so with the promise that I would
always be present in this community. That means checking in with you often about your priorities so I can adequately represent you on the campaign trail and in office.
My opponent Kevin McCarthy never made that promise -- and if he did, he's broken it at every turn.
There's a lot of important policy being considered in Washington -- from a historic infrastructure package, to additional COVID relief. Here in California we're also dealing with severe drought and raging wildfires.
Where's McCarthy? Defending Trump and the worst far-right elements of his party or making jokes about hitting women.
I kid you not.
So this weekend, I want to get your take on what's important to you before we kick off the next stage of the campaign. What do you think we should be focused on? Please take my one-minute survey.
As a teacher, I'm used to giving and receiving feedback. It's really important to me to continue elevating the lives of the students and families I serve.
We're doing things differently than my opponent, that's why I'm shining a spotlight on issues that actually matter to you -- not partisan politics or fancy fundraising dinners.
I'd love to get your feedback on this one-minute survey >>
Thank you,
Marisa Wood
