Friend, the Senate is on the verge of passing an infrastructure bill this week.

Once that happens, the focus in Congress will next shift to a major budget reconciliation package -- a chance for us to pass more progressive priorities. Jennifer will be fighting hard to make sure the final reconciliation bill is one that makes real strides for climate, education, fighting poverty, and much more.

One of the key things that we want to make sure is incorporated into the budget reconciliation bill is the American Families Plan. Among its many provisions, this ambitious plan will do the following:

• Expand paid family leave
• Invest in new teacher hiring and training
• Establish universal pre-K
• Offer two years of free community college

The American Families Plan will lift up millions and prepare our next generation for success. It's important that we demonstrate strong support for it as Congress begins debate on budget reconciliation.
