This is a weekly update from the Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Lawrence Tabas filling you in on what our statewide party leaders are up to, along with relevant news pertaining to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. | Fellow Pennsylvanians, Earlier this week, New York City announced that they will require all workers and customers at certain businesses, including gyms, indoor restaurants, and entertainment venues, to show proof of vaccination before entering. County commissioners in Philadelphia also warned that all options are on the table when it comes to imposing new COVID-19 restrictions. As talk of additional restrictions increases, our party remains steadfast in protecting the rights of Pennsylvanians. The voters made it clear during the May 18th elections that they don’t want burdensome COVID-19 restrictions that trample on their individual freedoms. That’s why our party is committed to stopping Governor Wolf from re-implementing any of his failed COVID-19 policies or unilaterally limiting your freedom with additional restrictions. Sincerely, Lawrence J. Tabas Chairman, Republican Party of Pennsylvania | NYC mandates proof of vaccination for many indoor settings August 3, 2021 | New York Post | New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city is now mandating proof of COVID-19 vaccinations to enter certain businesses, including all indoor restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues.
